- Cookies & tools
On our website, we generally only use such cookies and other technologies, which are absolutely necessary – in your and our interest – to move around the website, to use basic functions and to ensure the security of the website. These cookies neither collect information about you for marketing purposes, nor store which web pages you have visited.
Cookies are small text files that are assigned to the browser you are using and stored on your hard disk by means of a characteristic string of characters, and through which certain information flows to the body that sets the cookie. Cookies cannot execute any programs or transfer viruses to your computer and consequently not cause any damage. They serve to make the Internet service user-friendly and effective overall, i.e. more pleasant for you.
Cookies may contain data, which make it possible to recognise the device used. In some cases, however, cookies only contain information about certain settings that are not personally identifiable. However, cookies cannot directly identify a user. A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted again as soon as you close your browser and permanent cookies that are stored beyond a single session. You can find additional information about the cookies that we set in our Consent Management Tool.
Should we use technologies beyond that, which are not strictly required for using our website, this will exclusively take place with your consent. You can obtain detailed information in our Consent Management Tool. You can also make your individual settings there.
- Data security
Personal data is protected by us by means of appropriate technical and organisational measures, in order to ensure an adequate protection level and to safeguard the personal rights of the persons concerned. Among other things, the measures taken serve to prevent unauthorised access to the technical facilities used by us, as well as to protect personal data from unauthorised access by third parties. In particular, for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential contents, such as your contact enquiries, which you send to us as the website operator, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can identify an encrypted connection by the address bar of the browser switching from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar. If the SSL or TSL encryption is activated, the data, which you send to us cannot be read by third parties. We nevertheless point out that data transfer on the Internet (e.g. with communication by e-mail) can be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of the data against access by third parties is not possible in this respect.
